HIGH-FIDELITY
PYROSHOCK
TESTING
Capture the event.
Understand the response
A high-speed testing solution for Defence and high-reliability equipment exposed to Pyroshock and mechanical shock events.
WHAT IS PYROSHOCK?
A short event
A serious load
Pyroshock is a short, intense vibration that travels
through equipment after an impact, blast,
ordnance initiation or pyrotechnic activation.
The event may last only miliseconds, but it can place significant stress on electronics, sensors, connectors and structural components. Equipment can show no obvious external damage, while the measurement data tels a different story
WHY CONVENTIONAL DAQ STRUGGLE?
The data can be lost at the moment it matters
ONE SYSTEM, CONNECTED WORKFLOW
From the sensor to the answer
Developed by Mecalc and Computer Methods, and supplied in Australia by HW Technologies, the system combines high-speed hardware with connected acquisition and analysis software.

TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
The specification
behind the signal
The ALI25 was developed for broadband, high-frequency, high-amplitude shock events and other dynamic test applications. The modular platform combines integrated signal conditioning, deep onboard memory and synchronised acquisition for timecritical testing
Q&A
A practical
starting point
What is Pyroshock?
Pyroshock is a short, intense vibration created by pyrotechnic activation. It is often measured alongside mechanical shock, impact, blast effects and ordnance initiation
Why is it hard to measure?
The event happens quickly and contains high-frequency energy. Conventional systems may not have the speed bandwidth or onboard memory needed to capture the full event.
Can the system support more than Pyroshock testing?
Yes. The system can support mechanical shock, impact, Hopkinson bar and other high-speed, trigger-based test applications.
